General Rental Sales & Service has acquired Rent Co., Inc. d.b.a. Dover Rent All Tents and Events of Dover, Delaware. Dover is the second transaction for General Rental since April 2015, when the company began its initiative to expand its special events rental operations in the Mid-North Atlantic region.
Dover specializes in providing high end tents, tables, chairs, place settings and other special event related items to the Delmarva Peninsula. Originally founded in 1966 by Chan and Cal Clapp as a general rental company, Dover Rent All Tents & Events has been operated by Chip Clapp, son of Chan and Cal, for over three decades and has established itself as Delmarva’s premier special event rental company.
General Rental Sales & Service is based in Avondale, Pennsylvania and also operates Event Central of Mechanicsburg, PA. Including the addition of Dover, the company is able to service the entire Eastern portion of Pennsylvania along with all of Delaware, Maryland and Northern Virginia. Eric Schuibbeo, Owner and President of General Rental said of the transaction:
